12minsThe quiet village of Drepano
With a population of roughly 1350, Drepano is a charming village known as "Kefalochori" (rich and big village). The primary occupations of its residents are fishing and citrus and olive tree cultivation. Due to its proximity to the historic Nafplio, the cosmopolitan Tolo, and the Argolida archaeological monuments, Drepano welcomes hundreds of tourists each summer, which has greatly boosted the area's tourism industry and provided the locals with a substantial source of income. Before World War II, the community was called Haidari; about 1940, it was renamed Drepano.
