The famous fishing village of Cretan fighters, will honor his glorious ancestors, who before almost two centuries settled in this beautiful corner of the Argolic Gulf.
The event is a collaboration of the Cretan Association of Argolis “Minos”, the Cultural Association of Tolo, the Panhellenic Federation of Cretan Cultural Associations, The Tourism Association Tolo and the Municipality of Nafplion.
The event will start at 10:45 am, Sunday 23 October 2016, with a procession of vrakoforoi (men dressed with original Cretan costumes) starting in the corner of Minoos Street & Sekeri with direction to the Memorial of Cretans Fighters in Tolo (opposite the primary school).
A memorial service will take place at the point of the monument (11:00).
Then the event will move to the courtyard of the elementary school of Tolo were there will be a brief speech about the Cretan history in the region and will follow traditional Cretan dancing with live music.
